Cultural Classes

Throughout the year we offer hands-on cultural classes that preserve and share traditional knowledge including basketry, pottery, jewelry, and food preparation using native plants from the region such as yucca or acorns. These immersive workshops not only teach time-honored skills but also educate participants about Indigenous history. By engaging with these traditions, attendees gain a deeper understanding and respect for the Indigenous people of the region, fostering cultural appreciation, and respect for the land.

Annual Winter Solstice

Tipey Joa serves 800 families annually with food, medical supplies, blankets, winter clothing, and toys for 14 tribal communities in Baja and Sourthern California. In this event Tipey Joa will visit sacred Indigenous sites to attend the winter solstice and then head out to distribute supplies to the different tribal communities.
